Compu-TTY was founded in 1982 by Barbara and Sidney Ander. The Ander's entrepreneurial spirit along with their desire to form a company that offers products and services for the hearing-impaired was the primary motivation in starting the company. Since both of the Anders are profoundly deaf, they are in a unique position to analyze the equipment and decide which services are necessary for each particular client.
